We have totally transformed the store into a winter wonderland. Our windows are done,
the stockings are hung and all the little elves around here have been very busy. Here's but a glimpse... UPDATE - you can tell we've been busy - we started this post on Nov. 15th and this is the first chance we've had to update and actually finish with our pictures!!!! We're tired, but so happy we've been busy and want to thank all of our customers for their continued patronage.

As a vendor at the Exotic Green Garden Bridal Show this weekend, Leslie and and I set up a booth showcasing vintage wedding. The venue was held at The Pierpont Inn in Ventura. Well, we just finished the last of our two window displays for the holidays - we decided not to put up a tree in the window, but instead decorated a few dress forms. They actually turned out kinda dreamy - we were happy with the results. As always, I couldn't have done it without my dutiful team of Leslie, Pat, & Lupe.They are so talented and we have so much fun!!!!! P. S. We looked at this last picture & decided we needed to tweak it a little more, so we'll re-do tomorrow & post a new pic.

Featured in Romantic Home magazine, Rosemary Olson designs are simply gorgeous!

We also asked Rosemary a few questions about her work.

Q:Where do you get your decorating infulence from most?

A: I get my decorating influence from Flea markets, magazines, art, nature, blogging, beautiful places I see in books and magazines. It's everywhere I go.

Q: What inspired you to create these?

A: I have always loved making art. I love antiques and anything vintage. The beauty in vintage papers and glitter. I really think crowns are so nice, and make every girl feel like a princess.

I just decided one day to start trying to make my own crowns for fun. I get ideas when I see a beautiful vintage piece of jewelry, paper or photo.

I have done artwork my whole life, but for the last 3 years I have been making and selling my work.

Q : How long have you been doing this?

A:I started when I did the decorations, invites, center pieces, escort cards and favors for my daughter's wedding. A shop owner that I knew at the time saw the things for the wedding and asked me to make some for her shop, and the rest is history.

Q: Can you share one of your decorating ideas or tricks?

A: A trick or tip would be, if you see something at a flea market like a small piece of jewelry or a rusty key, or old crepe paper buy it. These things look pretty just sitting in a silver bowl, but can be used in a project or art piece. I like to pin a vintage rhinestone piece like an earring or pin onto a burlap or linen pillow just to dress it up. I also like to pin them to a lamp shade for just a bit of sparkle.

Q :What is your favorite sytle?

A :My favorite style is flea market chic. I like to mix country french, and industrial together. I like rhinestones and burlap, zinc, and white pottery.

This fab old basket trunk from the 1890's belonged to Massachusetts's Governor Fuller.

Fuller's family was the largest contributor of the Boston's Museum of Art. Painting's were brought over in this gorgeous black basket trunk..
